At NOCO Chip Repair, we strive to provide the highest quality windshield repairs. However, it’s important to understand the nature of damaged glass and the risks involved in the repair process.

Understanding Windshield Damage & Repair Risks

• Your windshield is already damaged, and damaged glass can be unpredictable.
• There may be invisible structural weaknesses that could cause cracks to spread during the repair process.
• While we take every precaution to repair the damage without further issues, in rare cases, the damage may worsen to the point that the repair is no longer possible, and windshield replacement may be required.
• If additional damage occurs during the repair, we cannot be held liable for the windshield itself. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the repair.

Crack Repair Process

• To stop a crack from spreading, we must create a controlled break in the glass by drilling a small hole at the end of the crack.
• This hole is then sealed during the repair process.
• In rare cases, the crack may extend past the drilled hole, requiring additional holes to be drilled to stop the spread. These holes just like other repairs, will be visible to an extent after the repair is complete. We strive to make these controlled breaks as unintrusive as possible.

Insurance Payments & Coverage

• If you are paying with insurance, please note that most insurance companies do not cover the full cost of a crack repair.
• The customer is responsible for any remaining balance not covered by the insurance company.

"Due to the process of using pressure and vacuum cycles to repair laminated glass and the unstable properties of broken glass, the damaged area may develop additional cracks, or existing cracks may increase in length. While this occurs in less than 0.1% of windshield repairs, it is a possibility. If we are unable to repair the damage to your satisfaction, our liability is limited to a refund of the amount charged for the attempted repair. By proceeding with the repair, you acknowledge and agree to these terms."
